Easy and natural method to make your house smell good

It's always good to keep your home smelling fresh - whether or not you have guests or family coming over. It doesn't take much to do so, perhaps a candle or an air freshener is all you need. Keeping your home fresh does, however, also require taking the trash out regularly and keeping an eye on areas that are susceptible to mold growth.
If you're looking for a way to make your living space smell amazing without spending money on candles or Glade PlugIns, then this tip is for you. Head to the kitchen pantry and grab a bottle of vanilla extract. Then locate the air filter in your house/apartment and pour out a few drops directly onto the filter. When friends and family arrive, they'll think they're at a pastry shop.

Alternatively, you can also use essential oils for this home hack. If the smell of vanilla is not to your liking, consider lavender or something citrusy.
If you're not keen on this idea, or you're just searching for another freshening method, why not make your own deodorizer? All you need is baking soda and the essential oil of your choosing. The Bold Abode says to simply stir the essential oils into the baking soda and you're good to go. Put a spoonful or two into a pouch and hang it on the inside of the air filter. Store the rest of your all-natural deodorizer in a Mason jar.

I like to shop for clothes as much as the next girl (except when I don't because I can't find anything that fits). Still, buying a new wardrobe can be expensive.
