How to manage pet hair in the home

With over 150 million pets in the United States, many of us deal with the challenges of pet hair on a daily basis. There's a reason they're called "fur babies" -- their hair gets everywhere! It's a small price to pay for our animals' unconditional love and companionship, but managing pet hair can become a huge chore.
Melissa Maker has the solution. A Canadian "cleaning wizard," she's been sharing her housekeeping tips and tricks on CleanMySpace.com since 2011, and she has several methods of tackling pet hair problems all around the house -- from floors to furniture and garments to grooming, she's got you uncovered!

Maker goes beyond sweeping and vacuuming and shows you how to get pet hair out from grimy corners and floor/carpet seams.
A dampened rubber squeegee is her preferred tool for scraping hair off of furniture.

Maker has loads of laundry tips for alleviating pet hair on clean clothes; relaxing fabric fibers by adding half a cup of white vinegar to each load of wash is just one of them!
Regular pet grooming is also highly recommended, especially for what Maker calls particularly hairy "catzillas" and "dogensteins." All of her amazing suggestions for managing pet hair can be found in her video.
Good luck managing the pet hair in your life, and please share this article with others who would like to do the same!
