How to make a saggy couch look like new again!

It's hard to find just the right couch for your space. When you do find the perfect one, you want it around as long as possible. Even through "saggy sofa syndrome." That's what Illinois blogger Tonya, at home improvement blog "Love of Family and Home," calls it. Even better, this savvy part-time nurse and blogger tells you how to fix the condition.
"We’ve had our living room sofa for almost 6 years now," Tonya explains on the site. "We purchased it at Ashley furniture & believe it or not, I still really like it." What frustrated Tonya was the settling and ill-formed couch cushions caused by normal wear and tear and, well, people sitting on the sofa.

First, Tonya machine washed all of the removable pillow coverings, which she admits were dirtier than she anticipated.

Next, she used a 10 pound box of Poly-Fil purchased from a discount store to add stuffing to the back couch cushions.
The seat cushions received a plumper look at feel by using quilt batting, attached with craft-store spray adhesive. Again, she located the quilt batting at the same discount store as the Poly - Fill. For more information on this sofa transformation, follow complete steps at the blog.

So now that you resuscitated your couch, maybe you should jazz it up some more by updating the fabric on your throw pillows? With a little know-how and motivation, your living room can become an attractive and comfortable place to spend time once again.
